Making the most of Supplements in Matrix
In April 2019, SmartMLS began requiring the mandatory upload of listing agreements to all listings. Although the ability to attach documents (known as Supplements) to listings has been available to Matrix users since the inception of SmartMLS, some users were unaware that this feature even existed. Not only is it is a convenient way for you to store property-related documents, floor plans, disclosures, etc. in one spot, it also allows buyer agents easy access to all the materials (except for private documents) that may be helpful in facilitating a smooth transaction.
A few things to know about Supplements:
- There are many types of supplements- please be sure to select the most accurate description when uploading:
- Please save each supplement separately. Do not lump multiple documents together into one Supplement.
- Although we allow for the uploading of State mandated disclosures, we do not require them, nor do we police them once uploaded.
For more information on the many things you can do with Supplements (add, delete, manage, print, etc.), please visit our knowledge base, The SmartDesk, and enter the word supplement in the search bar. We have many different articles related to Matrix Supplements.
As always, please feel free to contact the Compliance Team for additional information.
