Marketing other agents' listings on your social media

It is prohibited for an agent to market another agent's listing on their own social media account (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) unless the listing agent has given written permission to do so.

Marketing other agents' properties through social media is completely different than the IDX system, where brokers and agents join by signing an agreement to market each others listings through their websites. The IDX program user agreement does not cover agents' social media accounts.

The state of Connecticut Real Estate Law is extremely explicit about the fact that, when you post someone else's property, you are marketing a listing that is not your own.
