Copying the Remarks wording from another agent's listing

The wording that agents use in the Remarks sections of their listings is intellectual property and consequently protected by creative license and copyright law. Copying it, either loosely or verbatim, without express written permission from the author is strictly prohibited.

If you are caught in violation, you will be sent a compliance notification asking you to replace the copied text with your own write up. If you fail to do so within the allotted time frame, you will be subject to a fine.

What does copyright protect?
Copyright, a form of intellectual property law, protects original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works, such as poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software and architecture. Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems or methods of operation.
